Stand Up

Isaiah is really only interested in standing these days.  He rarely sits up, although he can.  He's not into crawling, my guess is because he can get around just fine creeping.  I try to get him to crawl, but it's hard because all he wants to do is stand.

But his real real favorite?  You can kindof see in the background of these pics part of my pillow wall I build around the illegal areas of our living room so Isaiah can creep & exlore as much as possible.

Regardless of how big I make the space though, he almost always goes straight towards the tv & climbs up the pillow wall surrounding it.  I used to just pull him away every time & say no.  Now as he is starting to climb, I say No Isaiah, No very sternly.  And then I have to try really hard not to laugh uncontrollably because he gets a kick out of my being serious or him getting in trouble.  He starts cracking up every time.  As soon as he knows I'm looking, he starts chuckling.  And it is the cutest thing.  Sometimes I scold him & turn away because I can't help grinning at my adorable little boy. 

In this pic, I was laughing because I just got done pulling him to the other side of the living room.  I turned around for one second, and there he was - right where he wanted to be.

Two Days Gone Already

Wow, those days go by fast.  I didn't post, but I did take pictures so I haven't bombed my project yet.

Isaiah has been fascinated with standing up lately.  For as long as I can remember he's preferred the position while being held, but now he likes climbing & standing.  He is climbing on me & Marcus & pillows for now.  But he really really wants to learn how to climb on this awesome toy my sister got him for Christmas & everything else.

So on this day I stood him up in his mini playpen (the Pack & Play) to give him something towards which to aspire.
