Pictures from My Nephew's Birth

Okay well I need to play catch up & post new pics, so I'll do both.  Here are pictures that I promised long ago from my 2nd nephew's birth.  My sister did an awesome job, much better than me because I don't think I could have gone through with the natural thing in a hospital setting.  I wrote a little about the birth details here, and I left off promising pictures.  Jonathan Clint Harrell.  I don't have any recent pics, but you can see some here, and he is getting pretty good looking already!

Baby Time

Not me, my sister.  The older one.  She is deep in the throws of labor - 6 centimeters we just found out!  We are at the hospital in Houston, my mother & I waiting in the dark room for her to be moved.  This time we are overlooking a lake - how lovely.  Earlier I was playing midwife with her at her home.  Playing because I was repeating words my midwife said, advising labor position my midwife advised & trying to mimic her soothing voice.  My sad attempts seemed to help though.  She just needed peach & quiet so she could relax & focus on her breathing & laboring.  Sadly that meant going in another room away from my adorable nephew & son.  As I spoke the words I remembered, there were tears.  Tears of joy reminiscing about Isaiah's birth.  My poor sister.

My Nephew is Turning Two This Week!

Isn't he the cutest?  And my preggo sister is so gorgeous.  I love that family.
