Foreshadowing from the Pacifier

Today I bought some more pacifiers. No I didn't need them. I thought Isaiah should have a blue one to match his blue outfits. And I walked by them, and they were so cute.
They were a little bigger than the current ones, but Isaiah took the first one (I bought 4) right away. As he was sucking away, I thought of my poor friend whose little one (born a week before Isaiah) won't take a pacifier at all. She's tried them all, and he refuses them all. I pity her because no pacifier means that when he's tired, he wants to nurse. When he's gassy he wants to nurse. When he's lonely he wants to nurse. And of course, when he's hungry he wants to nurse. My poor friend and her poor boobs.
I was feeling sorry her when I pondered, what if their sucking preferences are a glimpse of their future behavior with women?
Hers will be quite selective, and when he chooses a woman, he will be loyal to her, standing by her until for some reason, she ceases to give him what he needs. Only then will he move on to someone else.
And then Isaiah, if his current sucking behavior is any indication of his future, will look for love with anyone that is interested. And he will stay with them momentarily until someone else, anyone else, comes along.
I really hope not.
