Pictures from My Nephew's Birth

Okay well I need to play catch up & post new pics, so I'll do both.  Here are pictures that I promised long ago from my 2nd nephew's birth.  My sister did an awesome job, much better than me because I don't think I could have gone through with the natural thing in a hospital setting.  I wrote a little about the birth details here, and I left off promising pictures.  Jonathan Clint Harrell.  I don't have any recent pics, but you can see some here, and he is getting pretty good looking already!

My Nephew is Turning Two This Week!

Isn't he the cutest?  And my preggo sister is so gorgeous.  I love that family.

Can I please just tell you how adorable my nephew is?

He tries to wink at you by closing both eyes. 

He loves my iPhone.  He fights to hold it and then nicely hands it back to me. 

He puts his hands back out so I will return the favor.  Then he just looks at it, waiting for something to happen.  Nothing happens so he gives it back so I can do it.  He stares in awe of every button I push.  There is an animated book of Itsy Bitsy Spider that he loves to watch intently as I navigate through. 

This app prompted me to start singing the song to him with movements of the spider crawling up the spout (his arm).  He never wanted me to stop.

Sometimes when I'm holding him, he reaches for his mommy.  She takes him, and then he reaches for me again.

He was playing with my little sis & giggling & giggling.  Then he turned to me, gave me a hug & then turned again towards her.

He laughs uncontrollably when someone chases him through the house.

He has a little bouncy ball.  When his mom bounces it so high it reaches the ceiling, he screams in amusement.

And when he runs, he lifts his arms like he's sharing his love with the world.

Will my child even be half as adorable? 

I have a very strong feeling it's going to be girl. 

In addition to my intuition, I asked my future stepson which he thought it would be.  He told me it would be a girl.  And so did some other random people. 

Marcus refuses to admit it's even a possibility.

So this weekend as me & my fam watched movie after movie, I found myself spotting kids that I thought could resemble my offspring.

Of course I will deeply love whoever comes my way.  But I still wonder what she will look like, how dark she will be, the texture of her hair & skin, the way her cries & laughter will sound.  Will she be healthy?  What will be her favorite color?  Will she have my smile but Marcus's lips?  Will she be daddy's little girl?  

I can't wait.  But I have to.
