BB Basketball

We went to BB's last basketball game last week.  It was an interesting season since we missed the first part because of the drama when we weren't seeing him.  Instead we listened to his stories of his Daddy J coaching him.  When we were able to start going to the games, we spent the whole time trying to figure out how to have the least amount of contact possible with them, how to remain peaceful around each other.  The judge ordered that his school functions were the only instances where Marcus & baby mama were allowed to be within 500 feet of each other.  Whoever's weekend it was was supposed to be in charge of BB, but that was difficult because his Daddy J was the head coach, so he was always "in charge."  There were a few moments of obvious tension, but we made it through them. 

It was fun to see Isaiah evolve.  At the beginning of the season, he would start crying when someone near him would scream or cheer loudly.  Now he just watches & plays with his toys the whole time.

Or plays with girls.

I sent that picture to Marcus's dad.  He said, "That's a real Briggs."  

Afterwards they gathered for group pictures & gave all the players trophies.  

I wanted to get a picture of the boys, but this is the best we got because his Daddy J kept calling him over.

It's so frustrating for Marcus to not be involved with coaching.  He was hoping to help in the upcoming TBall season.  Until we got a mass email from Daddy J to all the parents of team members, explaining he was the head coach for the season, informing all that he had a son on the team & that practice was starting the next day.  The next day.  We already planned on taking all the kids to his cousin's last basketball game.

At least we know he'll never have these problems with his other boys.
